Who is Leonard Young? You might know him from the former website known as DelawareBlack.com. He's the CEO and founder. Young hails from Wilmington, Delaware. The same state of President Joseph R. Biden who defeated Donald John Trump for the U.S. Presidency.
Young was recently acknowleged by ABC news for his amazing achievement in developing a web app that support Black-owned small businesses. Back in September 2020, he came up with a creative idea not only to develop his web application engineered to support Black owned small businesses, but also use it to his advantage of promoting his website renared NationalBlackGuide.com. He drew inspiration of developing the app from noticing the injustices done to Black people.
In every life adversity lies hidden and subliminal opportunity. Leonard saw a hidden opportunity to cater to an audience of Black entrepreneurs. He silently used a SWOT "strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats" tactic in helping Black entrepreneurs get ahead by using his app. And the good thing is, he offers free use of his application for helping Black people not only with their business efforts, but also using the app for connecting with Black owned business such as Black restaurants, real estate and more, according to ABC 6 news article.
Drewry News Network salutes Mr. Young for his dedication to online business and helping other move forward in times of uncertainty.
