#InternetMarketing: Who is #JonRognerud and Is What He's Saying Correct?

    Realtime Website Traffic

    #WordPress as a #selfhosted #blog on your #dedicatedserver can #help you take your #sidehustle to the #public9thstep & make you a #future #sidehustlemillionaire in your #bloggingcareer

Entrepreneur.com has an interesting article about WordPress plugins to boost traffic to self-hosted WP blogs. It's surely an interesting read. Jon Rognerud is the author of the article" these plug-ins can boost traffic to your blog." He mentions effective and useful WordPress plug-ins that surely do its job of boosting traffic to self hosted WP CMS platforms. However, in the beginning of the article, there is a typo. Where the word "traffic" is supposed to be, there's "traffie."

Hint: The right WordPress plugins can boost traffic in the SERPs (search engine results pages), improve affiliate revenue potential from products and services sold from your blog, and inspire people to share your content across social networking platforms, giving you free advertising to new customers and untapped money.

If you read the article carefully it specifically mentions WordPress plug-ins to boost organic traffic. These plug-ins do in fact work. However, in the body of the article, there's something he mentions that's quite disturbing. If you take a look real quick in the paragraph discussing "self hosting WordPress blogs," you'll notice a sentence saying "The content doesn't have to be long. A short post of 100 to 200 words is acceptable to start." Jon has no clue what he's talking about in that sentence.

If you're starting off self hosted WordPress blog on your dedicated web hosting for the first time or revamping your Internet marketing strategy as a blogger, it's always a good practice start writing blogs anywhere from 500 to 1000 words. Why? Search engines love fresh content. And, search engines love "lots and lots of content." If you're looking to transform your WordPress blog into a traffic attracting magnet, your best bet would be to create "lots and lots of quality content." 500 words to 1000 words in a blog post is satisfactory search engines to quickly crawl and index you in minutes or hours after publishing to your blog. Indexing fresh content into search engine results pages is the life and blood of Bing, Google.com, and YaHoO!. Search engine companies sell ads alongside search engine listings. This is how they make money off of your content. The more content you write and publish to your blog, the faster you get indexed by search engine crawlers and the more traffic you receive from search engine results pages.

If you start off writing 100 to 200 words as a blogger you may potentially end up becoming what's called a "lazy blogger." Lazy bloggers are under the vain assumption they can write one blog post a day with only 100 to 200 words thinking they will get good search engine rankings in the long run. That's certainly not the case. Most bloggers are also under the assumption that writing one blog post per day with only 100 to 200 words will make them an Internet blogging millionaire in five years. That'll never happen as long as you keep your blog posts that short.

If you have something to talk about in a blog post be sure to have good knowledge of it. If your blog is niche based, wonderful! If you have a blog or website that's purely commentary about news articles that you've read or videos viewed on YouTube.com, search engines will fall in love with you fast. When creating and publishing any kind of content to your blog be mindful that it's at least 500 words minimum. If you can keep a mindset of publishing that many words which are engaging and informative to your readers and blog daily for six months, you will notice a positive difference in your overall United States search engine rankings on Alexa.com.

This thread serves as a "entrepreneurial food for thought discussion" for affiliate marketers and bloggers looking to get a deeper understanding about "blogging and long-term content marketing."

Besides Jon talking sideways about publishing 100 to 200 word blog posts to start as a beginner blogger, everything else mentioned in his article is definitely on point and makes absolute sense and is worthwhile reading.

Make no mistake that the more content you have on your WordPress blog and the more you show up online in discussions, the more relevant you become, the more search engine traffic you receive from Bing.com, Google.com and YaHoO.com, thus improving your online credibility and potential to become a future "side hustle millionaire."
