On a regular day after an exercise or cardio session at the gym, your post-workout meal is supposed to consist of a healthy portion-sized protein such as Turkey, Fish, Chicken, or Steak, alongside portion sized vegetables and a tall glass of water. Or, you can drink a protein shake afterwards instead of having a post workout meal.
Some people wonder if it’s ok to eat pizza or anything you want that’s not considered clean eating after leaving the gym. Yes and no. It’s not ok if the days are Monday through Saturday. If it’s Sunday, that might be ok. But, if you happen to enjoy your free day of eating and drinking whatever you want on Sunday, be mindful to repent with cardio on an empty stomach first thing Monday morning. This way, you stay inspired on and on track with your workout and transformation goals.
